nutribullet SmartSense Blender Combo

If the Blender Pitcher is not properly attached, the dot matrix will display a flat line across the screen and you will not be able to blend or pulse ingredients. Reattach the pitcher and try again.

The auto cycle is designed to yield very smooth results, making it perfect for blending creamy smoothies, shakes, and soups. For recipes requiring more texture, like salsas, chunky dips, and more, it’s best to manually operate the blender using the variable speed and pulse settings.

For best results when using the auto cycle, make sure to add enough liquid to completely cover all solid ingredients before blending. The auto cycle works with both fresh and frozen ingredients. If your ingredients are frozen solid, we recommend letting them defrost for 5-10 minutes before blending.

Under-ripe, hard, or extra fibrous ingredients like root vegetables, kale, celery, nuts, and seeds may require two auto cycles to reach the desired consistency. For smoothies, we recommend blending tougher ingredients with liquid in the first auto cycle, then adding frozen ingredients to the second cycle. This prevents over-processing, so your smoothie comes out thick and cold.

The SmartSense features 5 manual speeds which can be used with both the blend and pulse settings. Read on for their recommended uses:

SPEED 1: 5000 RPMs – Breaking down textured soups and stews, milling flours (nut, oat, etc).
SPEED 2: 7000 RPMs – Light blending for salsas and chunky dips.
SPEED 3: 9000 RPMs – Mid-range blending for milkshakes, protein shakes, nut butters.
SPEED 4: 11,000 RPMs – Medium-high blending for fruit smoothies, frozen cocktails/drinks, purees.
SPEED 5: 21,000 RPMs – High-speed blending for smoothies made from tough vegetables/fruits, extra-creamy soups, no-strain nut milk.

Yes, you can change the speed while blending by pressing the plus or minus buttons on either side of the display. You can press the solid circle at any point during blending to stop the blend.

Yes – the blender has a timer that counts up in seconds during blending. After 10 minutes of inactivity, the blender will go into sleep mode. The screen will display zzz’s when the unit is in sleep mode.

The Blender Pitcher is dishwasher-safe, but the Tamper and Motor Base are not. Hand-wash the tamper with soap and water. The motor base should never be submerged in water; wipe any spots off the motor base with a damp cloth.

Each nutribullet has its own blade and cup that is designed to be used specifically for each model. Using the wrong parts and accessories can lead to increased wear and tear.

For safety, the blender will automatically shut off after 60 seconds when blending in the single-serve cup. The blender also limits single-serve blending to 3 consecutive cycles in a 6-minute period.
