nutribullet EveryGrain Cooker

You can cook essentially every type of grain in the Nutribullet EveryGrain Cooker. The machine features preset settings for white rice, brown rice, oats, and quinoa, plus a catch-all “grains” program for more exotic selections: buckwheat, farro, wild rice, and more.

The Nutribullet EveryGrain Cooker is designed to cook between 1 and 5 scoops* of a given grain. The interior of the cooking pot includes measurement markers for each type of grain that detail how much water to add per scoop.

*1 scoop refers to the measuring scoop that’s included with the Nutribullet EveryGrain Cooker. 1 scoop is equivalent to 150g of rice, quinoa, oats, or any other grain.

Unlike many electric cookers, the Nutribullet EveryGrain Cooker does not operate using a strict timeline. Instead, the cooker assesses the amount of water in the cooking pot to gauge its cook time. The grains are considered fully cooked once they have absorbed all of the liquid in the pot.

Once you add the correct ratio of grains to liquid to the cooking pot, you will select your grain mode, then select “Start”. The display screen will light up with a cascade of lines to indicate that the cooker has begun its cooking program and is in the cooking process. Once the machine senses there are 10 minutes left in the cooking process, the cooker will beep and a countdown timer will appear on the display. At the end of this 10 minutes, the cooker will beep again, indicating that the grains are fully cooked.

After the cooking program completes, the EveryGrain cooker automatically enters a ‘Keep Warm’ stage for up to three hours, ensuring your finished grains stay warm until you are ready to enjoy. When in the ‘Keep Warm’ stage, the cooker display will count up, indicating the amount of time that has elapsed since the cooking program has completed.

We recommend the following process for steaming and grain-cooking at the same time:

  1. Start cooking grains.
  2. Consult the Measuring & Cook Time Guide (included with your cooker) to determine the steaming time of your ingredients.
  3. Add ingredients to the steaming basket.
  4. If the steaming time is less than 10 minutes, wait until the 10-minute countdown timer begins on the cooker, and add the steam basket to the cooker at the required steaming time (i.e. if your vegetables take 6 minutes to steam, add them to the cooker when the countdown timer reads 6 minutes). If the steaming time is greater than 10 minutes, you can add your steamer basket to the cooker at any time and use an external timer to determine when to remove it. Once you remove the steam basket, reseal the lid and allow the grains to continue to cook until their cooking cycle completes. Always be careful when opening the cooker as the steam is very hot.
