These savoury bean and mushroom burgers are protein-packed and seriously delicious.
Ingredients
400g chickpeas, drained
400g black beans, drained
225g button mushrooms
1 small onion
pinch of cumin
½ tsp salt
¼ tsp pepper
½ tsp garlic powder
1 tbsp tomato paste
45g panko breadcrumbs
45g almond flour
Directions

Place the mushrooms in the work bowl and pulse until finely diced.

Drain the water from the mushrooms and transfer to a mixing bowl.

Add the onion to the work bowl and run until finely diced.

Sauté the onions and mushrooms in a pan on medium high heat for 5 minutes. Transfer to the bowl with the onions and mushrooms.

Add the spices, tomato paste, panko breadcrumbs and flour to the bowl. Mix to combine.

Form patties the size of your palm (approx. 100g) with the mixture.

Heat oil in the pan over medium heat. Add the patties to the pan and cook for 5 minutes on each side until browned.
